Biography
Canadian National Wrestling Championships
To be the toughest wrestler in the tournament
My father is a wrestler and a great role model, but my mother takes toughness, kindness, and generosity to another level. I am one of 10 brother and sisters that she has nutured inside her, nursed us in our first year of life, and is the matriarch in a home that is filled with love and energy. My mother is great woman.
This past year my mother and father brought all of us (all of my brothers and sisters) to spend 10 months in China so that we can learn to speak Mandarin and understand Chinese culture. Even though we have no Asian ancestry (all of us our blue eyed and of European descent, my French mother and my English father felt that in addition to knowing Canada's two official languages it was important to also speak Chinese (Mandarin). We are homeschooled and so now we are in Shenyang, China taking our violin lessons, our wrestling practices, and many other courses all in Mandarin. It has been quite an adventure. I flew back from China to compete at the Canadian Nationals and almost immediately after winning the tournament I was on a plane back to China to continue my studies. http://www.calgaryherald.com/entertainment/From+Alberta+China+with+nine+kids/7890724/story.html
